Squaring the Circle
If you study this picture you see a piece
of artwork that looks like a black metal circle that is hanging in the
room. Some distance behind the ring I a
mirror hanging on the wall.
In the mirror you see the reflection of a
black metal square hanging in the room.
And behind the square is the camera (on a tripod) that took this
picture.
I have two questions. If the square is a reflection, where is the
square that it is a reflection of? And
if the circle is hanging in the room, why doesn’t it have a reflection in the
mirror?
