Preparing for Fibonacci Day - Fibonacci Flowers, Pinecones and Pineapples

It has been pointed out that many flowers have a Fibonacci number of petals.  This is not true for all flowers but many do.
1 Petal

2 Petals

3 Petals

5 Petals

8 Petals

13 Petals

If you are going to play “He loves me.  He loves me not.” Be sure to pick a flower with an odd number of petals.
Vi Hart has a nice Youtube video that shows Fibonacci numbers in flower petals, pinecones, pineapples, artichokes, cauliflowers, …  We know that that means – FIELD TRIP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahXIMUkSXX0
